PegaWorld is just around the corner. Another two months or so, and you will start seeing it everywhere.
Your LinkedIn feed will slowly fill up with posts about travel plans, speaker announcements, and people getting ready for Las Vegas.
So before all that starts, I thought it is a good time to talk about it a bit differently.
Not from a marketing angle.
Not from a “you must attend” perspective.
Just a practical view based on what I have seen and experienced.
What makes PegaWorld interesting in the first place
There is one thing that stands out immediately.

In many ways, this might be the best position to be in.
Because your focus can be very clear.

PegaWorld is one of the best places to expand your network, but that does not happen automatically.
You need to plan it.
Reach out to people before the event.
Set up conversations.
Be clear about why you want to meet.
Otherwise, it becomes a lot of random interactions without real outcomes.
Spending time in the innovation hub can also be very useful.
Not just walking around, but actually engaging.
Asking questions.
Understanding ideas.
Looking for collaboration opportunities.
Sometimes one conversation is enough to open a completely new direction.
A small but practical tip
If you are already making the trip, try to plan a couple of extra days if possible.
There is a lot to explore around Las Vegas.
Some people even combine it with trips to places like Los Angeles or San Francisco.
But one thing to keep in mind.
Make sure everything is clear from a budget and approval perspective.
Otherwise, the “extra fun” becomes a personal expense very quickly.
One mistake I made last time
I did not take insurance seriously until the last moment.
Not something you want to deal with when you are traveling.
So if you are planning early, just get that sorted as well.
Will I be there this year
I would definitely like to be there.
But at the moment, with training commitments, I am still holding back on booking.
