Thinking About Booking Tickets for PegaWorld ’26?

PegaWorld is just around the corner. Another two months or so, and you will start seeing it everywhere.
Your LinkedIn feed will slowly fill up with posts about travel plans, speaker announcements, and people getting ready for Las Vegas.
So before all that starts, I thought it is a good time to talk about it a bit differently.
Not from a marketing angle.
Not from a “you must attend” perspective.
Just a practical view based on what I have seen and experienced.
What makes PegaWorld interesting in the first place
There is one thing that stands out immediately.
The experience.

It is not just about sessions or presentations. It is about being in an environment where you get to see what is actually happening around the platform.
You hear things directly from the people building it.
You see what other companies are doing with it.
You get a sense of where things are heading.
That kind of exposure is difficult to get from documentation or online videos.
And yes, there is another side to it as well.
It is Las Vegas.

That changes the mood of the entire event.
It does not feel like a typical conference all the time. There is a certain energy around it. You meet people you have worked with before, you reconnect with old colleagues, and sometimes the best conversations happen outside the session rooms.
Over coffee. Over dinner. Sometimes over a couple of drinks.
The value depends on what role you play
One thing I realized is this.
PegaWorld is not the same experience for everyone.
The value you get from it depends heavily on what you represent.
If you are going as a Pega client
This is probably where PegaWorld can create real impact.
In many organizations, the biggest gap is not technology. It is understanding.
Your business teams may be using Pega, but not fully aware of what it is capable of. Their view is often shaped by what they have already seen in their own implementation.
When they attend PegaWorld, that view can change.
They see different use cases.
They hear different stories.
They realize the platform can do more than what they initially thought.
That shift in perception alone can be very valuable.
Another important part is learning from other clients.
Not polished presentations, but real experiences.
You get to hear how others approached similar problems. What worked. What did not. How they are maximizing their investments.
Those conversations are often more useful than any formal session.
And sometimes, you might even walk into the innovation hub with a problem that has been open for months… and walk out with a completely new idea to solve it.
Of course, there is also a practical side to this.
You will be approached by service companies. That is part of the ecosystem.
Nothing wrong with it. Just be aware and handle it in a way that works for you.
If you are going from a service or product company
For you, the lens is slightly different.
This is not just a conference. It is a business opportunity.
You get to meet potential clients in person. Not through emails or scheduled calls, but real conversations.
That changes things.
The innovation hub becomes a very active space. There is energy, there are discussions, and yes, there is a strong sales element to it as well.
That is expected.
As long as it is done with the right balance, it is part of the game.
Another interesting aspect is observing what others are building.
Not to copy anything. But to understand the direction.
Sometimes just seeing how someone has positioned a solution or approached a problem can trigger ideas on your side.
Better ideas.
And the companies that really make the most out of PegaWorld usually plan ahead.
They do not just show up.
They schedule meetings in advance.
They set up discussions outside the main event.
They use the time there very intentionally.
If you are going as an individual, contractor, or startup
In many ways, this might be the best position to be in.
Because your focus can be very clear.
Connections.
PegaWorld is one of the best places to expand your network, but that does not happen automatically.
You need to plan it.
Reach out to people before the event.
Set up conversations.
Be clear about why you want to meet.
Otherwise, it becomes a lot of random interactions without real outcomes.
Spending time in the innovation hub can also be very useful.
Not just walking around, but actually engaging.
Asking questions.
Understanding ideas.
Looking for collaboration opportunities.
Sometimes one conversation is enough to open a completely new direction.
A small but practical tip
If you are already making the trip, try to plan a couple of extra days if possible.
There is a lot to explore around Las Vegas.
Some people even combine it with trips to places like Los Angeles or San Francisco.
But one thing to keep in mind.
Make sure everything is clear from a budget and approval perspective.
Otherwise, the “extra fun” becomes a personal expense very quickly.
One mistake I made last time
I did not take insurance seriously until the last moment.
Not something you want to deal with when you are traveling.
So if you are planning early, just get that sorted as well.
Will I be there this year
I would definitely like to be there.
But at the moment, with training commitments, I am still holding back on booking.
Let us see how it goes.
